UNESCO Futures of Education is a global initiative to reimagine how knowledge and learning can shape the future of humanity and the planet. Through this initiative, UNESCO proposes to consider the role of education as a common good in 2050 and beyond. It takes education as the key to building a more sustainable planet and more equal societies.

Bilingualism Matters has produced three reports for this initiative in consultation with our members and stakeholders. We focus on the crucial role of languages in education, in light of the multiple challenges the world is currently facing.
