The Languages Gateway: a new portal for languages in the UK

In November, Professor Antonella Sorace spoke at the launch of The Languages Gateway in Scotland.

The Languages Gateway (www.thelanguagesgateway.uk) is a new portal for languages in the UK. Its aim is to help coordinate access to primary sources of information and resources on language learning to a wide audience.

Antonella said: “I’m delighted to celebrate the launch of the Languages Gateway in Scotland, as a fantastic resource that will enhance the visibility of languages and language learning in Scotland, and will do so by linking the strengths of all four nations.”

The new web portal will be of interest to parents and carers, teachers and educators, researchers and policy makers, and all those involved in languages education.
